WoW Hike - Westwoods, Guilford

Join Women of the Woods (WoW) for a 4 to 4.5 mile hike at the 1,200 acre Westwoods Preserve. There will be numerous rocky ups and downs and we will wander around and through the beautiful rock formations characteristic of this preserve.  We will take a break at a look out over Lost Lake, an inland tidal lake. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a pack with plenty of water and snacks/lunch.  Hiking poles are reccomended for uneven footing and rocks. Insect repelant  may be desirable. If heavy rain or high heat are forecasted this hike will be cancelled.

Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary. In addition to walking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other's company. 

Registration required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike is postponed or cancelled due to weather.
